Run "Mārupe 2025"

Skrējiens „Mārupe 2025” - Latvian 5 km Championship is a sports event that will take place on 7 September 2025 in the stadium of Jaunmāupe Primary School, bringing together professional athletes, amateurs and families with children. The aim of the race is to promote healthy lifestyle and running culture in Latvia. Participants will have the opportunity to compete in different distances - children's races (from 200 m to 1500 m), the Latvian 5 km championship, which will take place on a certified track, and a folk race, which will be open to all running enthusiasts.

Participants must register by 4 September to take part, and there will be limited registration on the day of the race. Entry is free for children until 5 August, 5-10 EUR thereafter, and 10-25 EUR for adults depending on registration time. Medals, cash prizes and sponsor gifts will be awarded to the top runners, while all children's runners will receive a commemorative prize.

The event is organised by the association "Jaunmārupe Skrien!" in cooperation with the Latvian Athletics Union and the Municipality of Marupe Municipality, creating an opportunity for everyone to test their strength, compete and enjoy a sporty atmosphere.
