The Jelgava Night Half Marathon is an evening and night running festival in Jelgava, with the competition center located on Pasta Island. The event combines various distances in one dynamic program — from children's runs and a mile to 5 km, 10 km, and a half marathon. The special atmosphere is created by the start in the dark, when the city, the lights and the support of the spectators make you run differently — with more adrenaline and "night" energy.
The 5 km / 10 km / 21.0975 km distances are certified according to AIMS and World Athletics requirements, with electronic timing, water points, and race services (bag storage, changing rooms, medical assistance). For those who cannot attend, a virtual run is also available — you can complete the distance anywhere in the world during the event week and the medal will be sent by post or to a parcel locker.
• 21.0975 km — Half Marathon The main evening distance for those who want a real challenge and official results. The route is certified, with electronic timing and a time limit (up to 3 hours). The half marathon will also have pacemakers at the 1:30 / 1:45 / 2:00 finish lines to help you maintain your pace and achieve your goal. There will be 4 water stations along the route, and a medal at the finish line (or the option to choose a tree planted in your name instead of a medal).
• 10 km — Night run at a fast pace A great format for those who want to run fast and achieve a good result, but without the strain of a half marathon. Certified distance with electronic timing and control time (up to 1 hour 30 minutes). There are two water stations along the route, and a medal and event atmosphere await you at the finish line until late in the evening.
• 5 km — A short distance for a big "drive" A shorter but very exciting distance to enjoy the taste of night racing and finish with a smile. Suitable for both beginners and those who want a fast run. Time limit (up to 1 hour), 1 water station on the course. • Mile (1.609 km) — no time limit
A friendly format for participation and atmosphere: you can run at your own pace, together with friends or family. Time is not recorded, but participants who choose to receive a commemorative medal are given different numbers and a more convenient finish line.
• Children's races (200–1000 m) Distances for children depending on their age — a safe, understandable and joyful start, where the most important thing is the joy of participation and the emotions at the finish line.
• Virtual run If you can't be in Jelgava, you can choose a distance and run it anywhere in the world during the week of the event. The run is recorded in the running app, the data is synchronized, and the medal is sent by mail or to your preferred parcel locker.
