Run Riga 2026 Stage 1 will take place on June 4 in Uzvaras Park and will open the season with an easy, fast, and flat course that is particularly suitable for both first-time runners and those looking to set a personal record. In the evening, the park will become a place for a joint celebration of movement — with a warm atmosphere, participants of all levels and a clear rhythm: children's starts at 6:30 p.m., followed by the 1 km, 5 km, 10 km and health distance starts at 7:30 p.m. The organizers ask participants to arrive early, as there may be queues at the number pick-up point. Distances and who they are intended for: • 10 km — the season's "speed" distance for those who want a steady pace and result (age groups up to 49 and 50+).
• 5 km – the most popular choice for young people and active runners (0–18, 19–49, 50+ groups).
• 1 km race – for young people (U14, U16), where the result is recorded in the first lap, but participation takes place by registering for the 5 km distance.
• Health distance – a friendly distance with no age restrictions and a 30-minute time limit, ideal for beginners and those who want to "get moving" at their own pace.
• Children's races – free starts for the youngest (U4 to U12), with short distances of ~300–600 m. • Control times: for the health distance until 20:00, total control time until 21:00.
• Awards ceremony: 8:30 p.m. – 5 km and 10 km distances. Registration takes place at izskrienrigu.lv and is convenient: sign up once for the entire season, keep your number, and come to the stages. Participation is free for children. Additional options are also available during the season, such as a personalized start number with your name and photo search by number (order in advance – by May 31).
