On July 16, the third stage of Izskrien Rīga will take place at the Biķernieku track — a place where speed can be felt in every turn. The race will take place on a smooth, high-quality asphalt closed track, where motorsport and cycling enthusiasts train on a daily basis, but this time the main focus will be on runners. On a midsummer evening, the surrounding pine forest will provide a pleasant coolness, while the dynamic profile of the track will help you pick up speed and maintain a steady pace until the finish line.
This stage is particularly suitable for those who want to test their speed and improve their season results — both in the 5 km and 10 km distances. There will also be a health distance with a time limit, a 1 km race for young people (first lap), as well as children's races for the little ones. Regardless of the distance you choose, the atmosphere in Biķernieki is always sporty and "loud" — here, every lap gives you a taste of competition, but real satisfaction awaits you at the finish line.
Schedule for the day (planned): pick up your race number, kids' races, joint start for the 1 km/5 km/10 km and health run, followed by the awards ceremony for the 5 km and 10 km races. Recommendation: arrive early, as there may be queues for number collection, and the Biķernieku track is best suited to a quick start without rushing.
