Skrējiens “Apkārt Vaidavas ezeram” 2026 takes place on 5 July 2026 in Vaidava, Valmiera Municipality, Latvia. The event is a long-running local summer race around Vaidava Lake and in 2026 it reaches its 45th edition.
The programme includes four children’s distances — 0.23 km, 0.6 km, 1.2 km and 1.9 km — plus the main 11.7 km race around Vaidava Lake. The event is suitable for families, young runners and participants who want a traditional Latvian summer running event with a clear local identity.
The race centre, registration, start and finish are located at the sports field by Valmieras Gaujas krasta vidusskola-attīstības centrs Vaidavas skola. The 11.7 km course uses hard-surface roads, forest roads, trails and asphalt sections, with a control time until 14:00.
