The 41st Wizz Air Budapest Half Marathon is Hungary’s biggest half-marathon weekend and the traditional kick-off to BSI’s autumn running season. On 6 September 2026, thousands of runners take over the city for a fast, scenic race that threads through Budapest’s most iconic sights — including UNESCO World Heritage areas, grand boulevards, famous bridges, and unforgettable Danube panoramas.
The experience is built for everyone: strong start-line energy, music points and live bands along the route, loud cheering zones, and a finish you’ll remember — with a finisher medal and official race shirt. Start and finish are in/near City Park, close to the Széchenyi Thermal Baths, making it easy to turn race day into a full Budapest weekend (including a perfect post-race recovery plan).
