The 53rd Königsforst Marathon takes place on 14 March 2027 in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, and is organised by TV Refrath with the TVR running team. The programme includes a 63.3 km ultramarathon, the 42.195 km marathon and a 21.098 km half marathon. The course uses a DLV-measured 21.1 km loop through the Königsforst, with about 85% on forest paths. The route passes Monte Troodelöh and the forest water-treading area before returning toward Bensberg. To protect the FFH nature reserve, the organiser uses many small start groups rather than a mass start. The first published starts are 08:45 for the ultramarathon, 09:15 for the marathon and 11:15 for the half marathon. A youth relay for teams of three starts at 11:45 and shares the half-marathon course.
