"Biržai Kilometers - traditional running event in northern Lithuania

On 2 August 2025, one of the most important summer sports events - "Biržai Kilometres" - will take place in the central square of Biržai. It is a part of the Lithuanian Running Cup (LBT) series, bringing together both professional and amateur athletes from various Lithuanian cities and abroad.

Participants will be able to try their hand at the 21.0975 km half-marathon (certified course), as well as the 12 km, 3 km and children's 400 m runs. A 3 km Nordic Walking race is also included.

The aim of this run is not only to continue the sporting traditions in Biržai, but also to promote an active lifestyle, athletics and community spirit.

The event is organised by the Public Institution "Running Cup" in cooperation with Biržai District Municipality and the Sports Centre. The general sponsor is UAB "Biržų duona".
