Zarasai Half Marathon

VI Zarasų pusmaratonis (Zarasai Half Marathon) is a late-summer road running event in Zarasai, Lithuania, held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, with the start/finish at Zarasų Sėlių aikštė. The race day is built around one shared start for the main distances — half marathon (21.097 km), 10.5 km, and 5 km — followed by shorter youth/kids runs later in the afternoon (1.2 km and 550 m). Nordic walking participants start together with the runners, and multiple refreshment points (water, fruit) are provided along the course.

The event includes overall and age-group awards for the half marathon, prizes for 10.5K and 5K, and special nominations (youngest/oldest half marathon runner, strongest local runners, biggest teams). A standout feature is the Mayor’s Cup, awarded to the fastest club team based on the combined half marathon times of four runners (with at least one man or one woman in the team).
