Assumption Day Marathon

Žolinių maratonas 2026 is a community-style running celebration held on August 15, 2026 (Žolinė / Assumption Day) in Vingio Parkas, Vilnius. The event is built around the idea of celebrating the holiday actively and together — welcoming both experienced runners and people starting their running journey.

The course is a certified 5.275 km loop in Vingis Park, with several distance options: marathon, 31.6 km, half marathon, 10.6 km, 5.3 km (one lap), and a 600 m kids run, plus Nordic walking distances. Every finisher receives a memorable event award: metal statuettes inspired by Žolinė plant symbols (a different motif each year), and winners/prize places receive cups and sponsor prizes. On-course support includes two water stations and one nutrition station, and there’s also a prize lottery after the awards.
