Alaušas Marathon

Alaušo Marathon 2026 is a midsummer night race staged on June 23, 2026 in Sudeikiai (Utena District, Lithuania) — the evening before Joninės (Midsummer Night). The event is inspired by local legends about Lake Alaušas, turning the holiday into a sports celebration with running, Nordic walking, cycling, and a virtual option.

Participants can choose from multiple distances in each discipline: running (1K, 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon), Nordic walking (5K, 10K, 21.098K), cycling (marathon, half marathon, 10K), and virtual running across the same run distances over June 22–24. Time limits are clearly defined (up to 7 hours for the marathon), and finishers receive commemorative medals, with cups/prizes for top placements and extra nominations like largest team, most original costume, and oldest participant. A course support point provides water and snacks, and also allows storing personal items during the race.
