Elche Half Marathon - The Oldest of the World 2027 takes place on 11 April 2027 in Elche, Spain. Club de Atletismo Elche Decatlón organises the event, with a 21.1K half marathon and a 10K road race starting together at 09:00 beside Elche Parque railway station. Both distances use homologated courses supervised by judges of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation. The half marathon runs through the city and part of Elche’s historic Palm Grove, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 10K follows the same route as the opening 10 km of the half marathon. The unified start is organised in waves by pace. The event traces its half-marathon history to 1968 and presents itself as the oldest half marathon in the world.
