The 21K Challenge road race, Kalambaka – Trikala is organized every year in memory of the great runner of the Trikala Runners Association, Thanasis Stamopoulos. A race that unites the love for sport with respect to the memory of a man who left his mark on the local and wider running community. The route, which starts from the historical Kalambaka and ends in the beautiful Trikala, is a challenge and inspiration for every athlete, while the message of effort and strength remains alive.

It is now one of the most important road races, gathering thousands of runners from all over Greece and abroad, including many champions. It provides high-level services both to the participants and to the advertising promotion of the companies and businesses that sponsor the event.
