Gdynia Half Marathon

The PKO Gdynia Half Marathon is more than a fast 21.1 km — it’s a full weekend by the Baltic Sea, built around one of Poland’s most anticipated spring races. The action starts at Kościuszko Square with the Fit Living Expo and race office on Friday and Saturday, then peaks on Saturday night with a truly special format: a 20:30 evening start, lit city streets, loud fan energy, and a finish-line vibe that feels closer to a festival than a typical road race.

This edition carries extra weight — literally and symbolically. The race is staged as the Polish Half Marathon Championships (PZLA), which means the start list features the country’s top long-distance athletes and serious championship racing from the gun. With Gdynia celebrating its 100th anniversary (1926–2026), the event has a “big moment” feel: expect elite pacing, record-level ambitions, and a course designed for speed. It’s also popular with everyday runners — thousands are already signed up, and the cap is 10,000.

Race weekend is designed so everyone can be part of it. Saturday includes a Kids Run, a PKO Gdynia 5K, and the half marathon with relay — so friends and families can race in different formats and still meet up in the same finish area. Practical details are runner-friendly too: the deposit opens at 19:00, starting zones open at 20:00, and the course closes at 23:30, followed by an after party near the race office.
