Tough Viking Kungl. Djurgården is a spectacular late-summer obstacle race set in one of Stockholm’s most beautiful and classic surroundings. The course takes you through green parks, historic scenery, and along the water — combining fast runnable sections with technical obstacles, strength challenges, and wet moments that keep the race varied from start to finish.\r\n\r\nThis is the “big” Djurgården experience: 15 km with around 35 obstacles, designed for both first-timers who want a memorable challenge and experienced OCR athletes who want speed, nature, and a strong race atmosphere in one event. With more spectator-friendly areas and a quicker flow than many forest courses, it’s also a great choice if you want a race that feels competitive while still being accessible.\r\n\r\nWhat to know before you race\r\n\r\n- Distance & obstacles: approx. 15 km and 35 obstacles — expect a longer endurance test with plenty of grip and strength work.\r\n\r\n- Water conditions: water is typically 17–20°C, while ice tanks can be around 0°C. Bring warm, dry clothes for after the finish.\r\n\r\n- Online registration: race solo or as a team, and pick a start time when available (limited spots, so earlier is better).\r\n\r\n- Shoes required: proper training/running shoes only. Metal spikes are not allowed and can lead to disqualification.\r\n\r\n- Race kit pickup: collect your start package at the Tough Viking tents on the grass field below the Swedish National Maritime Museum (Djurgårdsbrunnsvägen 24).
