6 Sjöar (6 Lakes) is a friendly Swedish running day built around a simple idea: it’s more fun to run “around something.” Here you’ll run around lakes — one lake, two lakes, four lakes or all six — choosing your distance on the same day with your friends. The setting is Fjällnora, a forest-and-lakes recreation area about 15 km east of Uppsala, where the start and finish sit right by a popular beach — perfect for a celebratory swim after you cross the line.

The course mixes trails with small forest and countryside roads, staying mostly flat while still feeling a bit more adventurous than a typical road race. Expect classic Uppland scenery: dark lakes between pines, quiet rural stretches, summer cottages near Marielund and even a crossing by the historic Lennakatten steam train tracks.
