Atlantic Ultra Marathon

The biggest sporting event organized by the Municipality of Grândola takes place this year on July 27th.

The beaches on the Atlantic front will host another edition of the Atlantic Ultra Marathon, covering a distance of 45 km, which connects Tróia-Mar Beach to Melides Beach.

The Ultra Marathon is a test of adventure and physical and psychological endurance that offers a unique experience to the athletes who participate in it every year, or to those who are taking part in the race for the first time.

This competition stands out from other existing long-distance races, as it takes place on sandy ground and with a backdrop of the Atlantic front with the Serra da Arrábida, which provides a setting of great beauty for the hundreds of athletes who participate.

The Corrida Atlântica, which has been taking place since 2014, allows you to experience running on sand, this year with a distance of 10 km on a different route, starting and finishing at Praia de Melides.
