Double Marathon - The Straight

The Taisnais 2026 double marathon is a unique endurance event along the embankment of the former Saurieši–Ērgļi railway line. The route is flat, clearly visible and marked at intersections — suitable for running, Nordic walking and leisurely walking while enjoying the Latvian landscape. Participants are provided with time tracking, transportation of belongings to the finish line, water and refreshments, food at the finish line, a medal, as well as the opportunity to return to the starting point after the finish with the organizer's transport; part of each kilometer completed is donated to charity. • Saurieši–Ērgļi Double Marathon (84.4 km) 84.4 km is the longest distance, testing endurance and the ability to maintain pace for a long time. The start is at the Saurieši railway station, and the finish is at the Ērgļi railway station. The route is a flat sandy road without any inclines, but due to its length, slower participants may finish in the dark, so it is advisable to think about your equipment and energy plan. • Suntaži–Ērgļi Marathon (42.195 km) The marathon leads from the Suntaži railway station to Ērgļi along a straight, even route, where rhythm and smart energy distribution play a key role. This distance is a good choice for those who want a classic 42.195 km challenge on a flat course with clear markings and support at the finish line. • Taurupe–Ērgļi Half Marathon (21.0975 km) The half marathon from Taurupe to Ērgļi is the most accessible way to get to know the "Straight" format — a flat route, steady pace, and beautiful stages along the former railway embankment. The distance is suitable for both fast running and Nordic walking, with the finish line in Ērgļi, where participants will be greeted with refreshments, medals, and organizers.
