Montepio Cascais Half Marathon 2026
The 10th edition of the Montepio Cascais Half Marathon takes place on February 7–8, 2026, bringing runners back to the stunning Cascais Bay. Powered by Montepio Associação Mutualista and organised by HMS Sports, in partnership with the Municipality of Cascais and CCD Cascais, this event has become one of Portugal’s most anticipated running festivals.
The weekend kicks off on February 7 with the Children’s Race, creating a fun and inspiring atmosphere for young athletes. On February 8, the spotlight turns to the main races: the Half Marathon (21.1 km), the 10K, and the 5K, welcoming runners of all ages and abilities. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or simply enjoying the run, the flat and fast course makes it a perfect choice.
Set in Cascais, a historic coastal town just minutes from Lisbon, participants will experience breathtaking scenery along the Atlantic coastline. The route passes golden beaches, charming streets, and iconic landmarks such as the Cascais Marina and Fortaleza de Nossa Senhora da Luz. Off the course, Cascais offers plenty to explore — from cultural sites to outdoor activities and fresh Portuguese cuisine.
With its mix of competitive spirit, family-friendly activities, and spectacular surroundings, the Montepio Cascais Half Marathon is more than just a race — it’s an unforgettable running experience on the Portuguese coast.
