Set in the Altstadt (Old Town) of the Hanseatic merchant city of Lübeck in northern Germany, the City-Lauf is an event for the whole family.
It offers races for all ages, starting one after the other:
1.3km kids' run
600m kids' run
1.3km unicycling
5km run, walking, nordic walking
10km run
The 10k race is two laps of an undulating course through Lübeck's historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The route visits many of Lübeck's best sights, such as the Salzspeicher (salt warehouses; pictured above) and the Heiligen-Geist-Hospital (Hospital of the Holy Spirit; pictured below).
The finish line is at the Rathaus, one of the largest medieval town halls in Germany.
