Běchovice–Praha (10 km) isn’t just another city race — it’s a piece of European running history. First held in 1897, this event returns on Sunday, 27 September 2026 for its 130th edition, still drawing everyone from first-timers to masters and national-team athletes. Recognized with the World Athletics Heritage Plaque and staged as the Official Czech Road Championships, it’s one of those races where the start line feels like a tradition you step into, not just a timing mat you cross.

The course begins in Praha-Běchovice at the famous 13 km road marker and heads toward Prague, rolling steadily before delivering its signature moment: the legendary Hrdlořezy uphill near the end — the climb people talk about for years (and come back to “settle the score” with). With 3,333 spots available, a tight organization, and a finish-area atmosphere that runs like a festival, the day works equally well as a serious championship effort or a personal “I did it” milestone.
