Nicosia Marathon 2027 brings Cyprus’s capital to life with a city-centre race experience that blends historic landmarks, broad urban avenues, and a strong community atmosphere. Scheduled for 24 January 2027, the event is built around a full program that includes the marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K, corporate 5K, and kids’ race, making it accessible to both serious runners and casual participants. The main routes start at Solomou Square and finish at Eleftheria Square, taking runners past places such as the Liberty Monument, Famagusta Gate, and the Old Town, so the race feels as much like a journey through Nicosia’s identity as a standard road event. Since its first official edition in 2010, the Nicosia Marathon has been presented not only as a sporting occasion but also as a wider celebration of health, culture, and social purpose, which gives it a warmer and more civic character than many traditional city marathons.
