Madrid Spartan

Madrid Spartan Weekend 2026 brings Spartan back to the Community of Madrid for its 12th edition on 9–10 May 2026, based in San Agustín del Guadalix (about 40 minutes from central Madrid). This venue is known for technical terrain—uneven dirt tracks, thick grass, and unpredictable water crossings—so it rewards smart footwork and controlled pacing as much as raw fitness.

It’s a full Trifecta Weekend, so you can race one distance or stack all three for the complete Spartan challenge:

Beast 21K (30 obstacles) — Saturday morning, the main endurance test

Sprint 5K (20 obstacles) — afternoon slots across both days, with Open and Doubles options

Super 10K (25 obstacles) — Sunday morning, including Elite and Age Group National Series waves
Plus Kids races (1–3 km) on Saturday for ages 4–14, which makes it easy to turn the trip into a family weekend.

What makes Madrid different from many “fast” Spartan venues is the constant variability underfoot—you’re rarely cruising. If you want a spring race with strong competition, multiple formats (including Doubles), and a course that feels genuinely rugged while still being close to a major city, Madrid is one of the best picks on the calendar.
