Biķernieki Track Cycling Grand Prix

The Biķernieku Track Grand Prix in cycling 2026 will take place on May 13 in Riga, at the Biķernieku Complex Sports Base (Sergeja Eizenšteina iela 4), and it will be a real cycling afternoon/evening on a closed track — safe, visible and with distances for children, young people and adults. The event is organized by the Latvian Cycling Federation, and the program includes children's races (400–2000 m), individual starts for beginners, youth, and adults (5.5–22 km in total), an 11 km health class ride, as well as group rides for more experienced cyclists: 70 km for amateurs/juniors/elite and 50 km for women. Participants are provided with electronic timekeeping, online results and photo finish service, a photo gallery after the race, awards for 1st–3rd place in age groups and emergency medical assistance.

The race center and number pick-up will take place in Biķernieki on the day of the race, with numbers for children's races available from 4:00 p.m., while numbers for individual, Health Class, and group races will be available in the afternoon until evening. The children's race is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m., while the larger races will follow in the evening: the Health Class (11 km) will start at 7:00 p.m., the group race 70 km at 7:30 p.m., and the women's group race 50 km at 7:35 p.m. Children's races are free of charge, and every young participant will receive a surprise prize, while for youth (U12–U18), Health Class, individual and group races, the participation fee is EUR 10.

Registration takes place on the platform bulta.lv/riga (pre-registration until May 12 at 12:00), but for some disciplines, it will also be possible to register on site. Important: a fastened protective helmet must be worn on the track, and warming up on the track is not allowed on the day of the competition once the starts have begun.
