Ventspils People's Triathlon - 3rd stage at Busnieki Lake

The final stage of the triathlon will take place on 6 August - again at Lake Busnieki, where summer evenings are filled with sporting energy and positive emotions. This will be the last chance to take part in the People's Triathlon this season, and the atmosphere promises to be particularly warm and inspiring.

As usual, registration will take place from 17:00 to 18:00, the briefing at 18:00 and the start at 18:15. The event centre will be at the same location - at the Būšnieku Lake swimming area, at the end of Talsu Street.

The distances are slightly different for the third stage, giving participants a new challenge and an interesting combination of courses:

Swim - one lap of 0.2 km in Busnieki Lake. The water conditions are still friendly and suitable for different levels of participants, with a maximum depth of 1.7 m.

Cycling - 3 to 4 laps, each 2.8 km long, along both the lake cycle path and Talsu Street, where the track becomes more dynamic. It is recommended to use a road or gravel bike to negotiate the different surfaces more easily.

Running - 2 to 3 laps, each 1 km long, on gravel cycle paths and forest trails, where nature becomes even more present and helps to keep the rhythm until the finish.

As always, participation is free and the main goal is not to win, but to move, be together and spend time being active and healthy.

Participants must respect the traffic rules as there will be no traffic closures on either the cycling or running routes. A cycling helmet is compulsory and it is recommended to wear swimming caps, goggles and a wetsuit if you have one.

This will be a great end to the triathlon cycle - with a bit of a sporting challenge, but in the friendliest environment possible. Both those who participated in all the stages and those who choose to join only this one will be welcome!
