Explore Race Details
The first snowshoe race was organized in 2018 by The Midnight Sun Marathon Foundation (MSM). Last year, Norwegian Athletics Federation recognized snowshoeing as a new sport discipline in the federation.
Currently, this is a difficult and pleasurable activity that is gaining in popularity in Norway among both those who run and walk for a one of a kind outdoor experience. Participants can also select one distance of 5 km fitness class and 8 km competition, both beginning and ending at TUIL Arena in Tromsdalen. Rental running snowshoes are available for those who don’t have their own.
For those that have an interest in embarking on the challenge of snowshoeing and try this exhausting but rewarding kind of exercise, welcomes are extended.
