Primiero Dolomiti Marathon

Set in the heart of the Dolomites (Paneveggio–Pale di San Martino Natural Park), the Primiero Dolomiti Marathon is a mountain-road running festival that blends big scenery with smooth, well-supported racing. Organized by U.S. Primiero ASD, the event draws road runners, trail fans, and mountain lovers to the valleys of the Primiero community for a day that feels like sport and holiday at the same time. Expect alpine panoramas, lively course support, and a finish-line village atmosphere, followed by the Primiero Dolomiti Party where local specialties take over the menu.

• 42K Marathon

The flagship challenge starts near Villa Welsperg in the Canali Valley and heads toward Fiera di Primiero on a dramatic point-to-point route through classic Dolomite landscapes. It’s a true mountain marathon with sustained climbs and long descents, multiple aid stations, and intermediate timing splits to help you manage effort and pacing. A dedicated shuttle takes participants to the start, and a bag transfer service delivers your finish gear to town so you can focus purely on the race.

• 26K

A shorter but still spectacular point-to-point run starting in San Martino di Castrozza and finishing in Fiera di Primiero. The course keeps the alpine feel while being more approachable for runners who want a mountain event without committing to a full marathon day. Regular refreshments, clear course marking, medical points, and a post-race shuttle make it a smooth experience from start to finish.

• 16K

The 16K is designed as an accessible mountain run with a strong “Dolomites experience” factor. Starting in Zortea (Vanoi Valley), it travels through scenic countryside and traditional alpine cabins before joining the shared final section used by the longer races. It’s ideal for runners stepping up from shorter distances or anyone who wants a beautiful, varied route without heavy technical demands.

• 6.5K Family Trail

A friendly nature route around Fiera di Primiero, created for families, beginners, and Nordic walkers. It mixes parks, woodland paths, and panoramic roads with views over the surrounding villages, and finishes on the same final approach as the main races—so you still get that “event finish” feeling. It’s relaxed, inclusive, and perfect for sharing race day with kids or friends who want to be part of the festival.
