X-WATERS Thailand

X-WATERS Thailand 2027 returns to the tropics with an open water swim on Phuket Island, in the warm Andaman Sea. This race is planned as an early highlight of the 2027 season and is designed for both first-time open water swimmers and experienced athletes who want a fast, scenic course with a true island-race atmosphere: clear water, white-sand beaches, and a relaxed Phuket vibe.

❗️Important note: the exact venue is still being confirmed (coming soon), and course layouts and distances may change closer to race week. If you already have a slot from a previous registration, the organizer states it can be automatically moved to the new date, converted into X-Coins for another X-WATERS race, or refunded (by request before the stated deadline).

All swims are planned with a beach start and finish on a buoy-marked course. Final routing will be confirmed during the pre-race briefing.

• 1 km (approx.)

A short open water loop for newcomers or a quick speed test for trained swimmers. A great way to experience the sea and the event atmosphere without committing to a long distance.

• 3 km (approx.)

A solid mid-distance option for confident amateurs. Ideal if you want a meaningful open water effort while keeping your trip flexible and enjoyable.

• 5 km (approx.)

The main endurance challenge of the event. Best for athletes who want a longer effort, steady pacing, and the satisfaction of a true tropical-distance swim.

• Relay 2×1 km (approx.)

A fun and competitive team format based on the 1 km course, with the changeover taking place on the beach at the start/finish area.

• 1 km Finswimming (approx.)

A dedicated finswimming distance for athletes who prefer higher speed and a different technique profile than classic open water freestyle entries.

• X-KIDS (coming soon)

A kids’ swim is planned (listed as coming soon). Final distance and age categories will be confirmed by the organizer closer to the event.
