Antalya Marathon (Runtalya) — general description
Runtalya is one of Turkey’s best-known spring running festivals, mixing a proper road race with a three-day “lifestyle marathon” atmosphere. Since 2006, it has grown into a major international meet-up where runners come for mild Mediterranean weather, sea views, and a route that blends modern Antalya with historic scenery. As an AIMS member event, Runtalya aims for internationally recognized race standards, with chip timing, festival energy, and multiple distances that make it easy to join whether you’re racing hard or just running for the experience.
• Marathon 42K
The longest and most panoramic option, designed for runners who want the full Antalya coastline experience. Expect wide-open sections with Mediterranean views, a fast road-race feel, and a finish that’s part of a bigger festival weekend. Chip timing is used, and awards typically cover overall and age categories.
• Half Marathon 21K
A scenic, high-energy half marathon that delivers the signature Runtalya atmosphere with a more approachable training load. You’ll run with the sea breeze, soak in Antalya’s city-and-coast contrasts, and still get that “big race” feeling of a major event weekend, with chip timing and podium categories.
• 10K Run
A sharp, exciting race that packs a lot of Antalya into one fast effort. The 10K is ideal if you want a meaningful challenge without committing to 21K or 42K, and it’s often the most versatile choice for both beginners and competitive runners chasing a quick result. Timed with a race chip and awarded by category.
• 10K Team Run (Corporate teams + Running teams)
The team format runs on the same 10K course, but with separate team rankings and its own competitive structure. Corporate teams are built from employees of the same company, while running teams are for clubs and groups. Teams usually need a minimum number of participants, and scoring is based on the average of the top finishers’ times, making it both social and genuinely competitive.
• 5K Walk & Run (Social)
An inclusive 5K built for everyone, from first-time runners to friends and families who want the festival vibe without pressure. The route typically follows the Konyaaltı coastline and central areas, with music points and local support creating a fun, relaxed race-day mood.
• Little Steps Run (Kids)
A short, non-competitive kids’ run that brings the next generation into the marathon weekend. Designed for children (often ages 4–12), it focuses on fun, movement, and confidence, turning the event into a family-friendly festival rather than “just” a race.
