Brave Race - Jēkabpils

The Courage Run is a popular adventure and endurance race held outdoors that brings together participants of all fitness levels—from experienced athletes to beginners. The event will take place on July 18, 2026, in the vicinity of the Radži Reservoir in Jēkabpils and will offer participants the chance to test themselves on dynamic courses featuring both natural and man-made obstacles.

Participants will have two distances to choose from: 5+ km with 20+ obstacles and 10+ km with 40+ obstacles. The courses wind through rugged terrain where participants must overcome various obstacles and challenges, including wooden walls, rope nets, mud pits, ditches, water obstacles, carrying sandbags and logs, rolling stones and tires, and other physical challenges. If a participant fails to overcome an obstacle, they must perform a penalty exercise.

Competitors may enter either individually or as teams. In the team category, a team consists of 4 participants, and the course must be completed together as a full team. The team’s finish time is considered to be the finish time of the last team member. The event features women’s, men’s, and team categories in both distances.

The Courage Run was created to promote an active and healthy lifestyle, as well as fitness and running culture, while providing participants and spectators with positive emotions, motivation, and a sense of community. This is an event for those who want to overcome not only the obstacles on the course, but also their own limits.
