About the race:
In 2018 the first ever snowshoe race was organized by the Midnight Sun Marathon Foundation (MSM). In 2020 the Norwegian Athletics Federation had the snowshoeing as a new sports discipline in the federation.
If you love running or hiking, we dare anyone to try snowshoeing. This is a hugely demanding and good fun form of exercise and also an increasingly popular form of hiking in Norway. We have two distances trim class 5 km and competition 8 km with Kvaløya Skistadion as start and finish. If you don’t have your own snowshoes we can rent a pair to you. Hopefully we will see you on the starting line this winter!

In 2023, MSM founded Norway's first snowshoe club. If you would like to join the training, you can e-mail us to [email protected] or see @tromsotrugeklubb on Instagram.
